Sonar provides you with a detail view of information within the Account Overview page on individual accounts within your instance. You have the option to customize this view if you choose to, and save your customizations to provide you with the information you feel is important to your user needs within the instance.

This is a feature focused on individual user access and doesn't provide you with any instance wide views or permissions.

Sonar's Default View

With the ability to now customize your Account Overview page, Sonar has a Default view. All users who decide not to customize their view or any new users to your instance will see this when they navigate to an Account Overview page.

While providing users with a Default view, we have also made all cards available for the Overview page, viewable whether information is found for that informational card or not. Below you will see an image with 2 separate accounts. One will have Data Usage information where the other will not, but instead of not seeing the card with no Data Usage information, you will now see the card in your Default View.

You can hide these cards if you decide you would not like to see them while viewing an Account Overview page. To learn how to do this, continue to the next section of this article.

How to Customize Your View

By hiding the “Notes” informational card, it will remove any “sticky with confirmation” notes from appearing when navigating to the account.

To customize your Account Overview page, you will simply navigate to any Account Overview page and then click on the “Edit View” button in the right corner of the Overview page.

Once you have clicked on the Edit View button, an Editor will open, allowing you to select different items to hide or arrange. It also allows you to rearrange the informational cards around on your screen to provide the more important information to you where you want it.

  1. The Hide All check box option allows you to hide or show all informational cards, depending on their current visibility. After selecting Hide All, all informational card sections will be unchecked, as shown in the image below. You will no longer view any cards on the Account Overview page. When cards are hidden, you can select this option again to Show All cards. This option will preserve any adjustments made to the card positions.
  2. The Billing section provides you with access to remove individual cards that fall under the realm of Billing. You can click the drop arrow to provide a list of the cards available to select. Unchecking the checkbox will remove all the Billing informational cards from view.
  3. The Connect section provides you with access to remove individual cards that fall under the realm of Connecting with the customer. You can click the drop arrow to provide a list of the cards available to select. Unchecking the checkbox will remove all the Connect informational cards from view.
  4. The Activity section provides you with access to remove individual cards that fall under the realm of Activity on the Account. You can click the drop arrow to provide a list of the cards available to select. Unchecking the checkbox will remove all the Activity informational cards from view.
  5. The Details section provides you with access to remove individual cards that fall under the realm of Details on the Account. You can click the drop arrow to provide a list of the cards available to select. Unchecking the checkbox will remove all the Details informational cards from view.
  6. The Reset Layout button allows you to reset your options to the Default View.
  7. The Lock View button will save your customization choices within your instance for your individual user view.
Attempting to navigate away from the Account Overview page will pop up a warning informing you that your changes will not be saved if you move forward. Clicking Cancel will leave you on the current page. Clicking OK will allow you to navigate away from the Account Overview page, and you will lose your customization choices that were not saved before leaving the Account Overview page.

Rearranging Informational Cards

To ensure you have the information you seek front and center and available without scrolling, you can hide a card from view by clicking on the “X” to the right top corner of the informational card. You can also rearrange the informational cards to your liking. To rearrange cards, you can hover over a card and left-click your mouse to grab the selected card and move it to where you would like it placed within the Account Overview page. Let's see how this works.
